‘Tis the season for champagne and all things sparkling. But, Cheryl Wakerhauser, curator of the World’s Best Champagne List from World of Fine Wine for 9 years will tell you why there is a time and a place for champagne all year round, at the dinner table, the picnic table and the beach. This class will explore the regions and styles of champagne, as well as the complicated aging process that brings not just bubbles, but the characteristic toasty aromatics that have become synonymous with champagne. You’ll also learn to open a bottle of champagne like a pro…with a sword. $125; 12 students per class.

2022 was our 9th consecutive win for World’s Best Champagne & Sparkling Wine List from The World of Fine Wine, winning every year since the awards started in 2014. We stopped entering in 2023 to restructure our business model (and let someone else win!) The list is back and bottles from the cellar are available for onsite consumption and also take away (selected bottles) for that special occasion you have coming up.
Our award-winning champagne, sherry and large format bottles are available to enjoy inside or on the patio during the Can Bar hours and also during all scheduled Pix events.
Can Bar is open Thursdays - Saturdays from 4PM to 10PM.
